Marianela Uribe

Ms. Uribe was born in Bolivia and is licensed to practice civil law and common law in both Bolivia and the United States.  She received her initial legal training twenty-five years ago in Bolivia at the Universidad Católica Boliviana in La Paz.  She went on to earn three Masters of Laws degrees, one each in Bolivia, Spain, and the United States as well as completing her juris doctor degree in 2019 at American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.  

Ms. Uribe has experience as both a public and private sector attorney in Bolivia.  In the U.S., she has practiced in the public sector, with an NGO, and in several private law firms.  Among her breadth of experience as an attorney, Ms. Uribe brings four broad areas of legal expertise to Remus Law.  Corporate Law. 

She has participated in deals for foreign and domestic corporations, worked on mergers and acquisitions, and analyzed and prepared complex tax returns for corporation and international individuals.

Trusts and Estates.  Ms. Uribe has set up estate and tax planning structures for international clients as well as prepared trust documents. Immigration Law.  She has represented clients in Immigration Court (Master and Individual Hearings) and worked on removal, refugee, and asylum cases.  Workers’ Compensation & Personal Injury. 

Ms. Uribe has conducted negotiations and hearings for these clients.  She has conducted discovery, taken part in depositions, and drafted motions as well.

Ms. Uribe is fluent in Spanish and English
